If you haven’t realized by now, I am big on self-care and mental health awareness. I’m always looking for ways to put a smile on my face and make my life easier.

And one of my FAVORITE practices in my self-care routine is ensuring I have a great-smelling candle burning. With that being said … I went to Marshalls and got four new candles. Now did I need four candles at one time? …. Yes.
Because you see, I had a conversation with myself, I said “Self.” Myself said “Hmm?” And I asked, “Will these candles bring you immense joy?” And me and myself agreed… they would.

Bamboo Blossom by West Coast Candle Co.

This candle has a nice soft scent that puts me in the mind of soft linen. Weirdly, it also reminds me of the smell of a newborn baby. Perhaps it resembles the scent of baby lotion? This is the first candle I lit out of the batch of candles I bought. It’s perfect for a time of unwinding and relaxing after a long day of work.
Island Retreat by Scentsational
Price: $7.99
This candle really reminds of being on an island. The name is perfect for the candle. The scent smells of citrus and coconut. I envision myself on a cabana in the caribbean sipping a piña colada watching the waves hit the shore when I smell this candle.
Beach Day by Scentsational

This candle has a fruity and sweet smell to it. You know what it puts me in the mind of? Now only the elite will know what I’m talking about when I say this. It slightly puts me in the mind of strawberry lipsmacker chapstick! With that being said, I know this scent may not be for everyone. But I would not mind burning this candle after deep cleaning my home and finally sitting down and looking at the fruits of my labor – a clean space, LOL.
Bergamot Rose & Musk by Cloud 9
Price: $4.99
This candle is small but mighty. It reminds me of linen as well, but with a musky undertone. The label says it has bergamot, green apple, and crimson notes with lilies and white musk. This is a candle I would bring out while I am doing a complete self-care day. You know those days when you take a bubble bath, lather yourself with several moisturizes, do a face mask, and eat your favorite food in a silk robe? This is what I want to smell on that day.
Final Thoughts
If you are an avid Marshall’s shopper, you know you can find some amazing stuff! Target gets all the credit for going in there for one thing and coming out with 20. Well, Marshalls would like to have a word! If I was a department store, I would be Marshalls. It’s cute, reliable, everyone who knows them loves them, and always full of surprises. If you don’t shop at Marshall’s you should! You never know what you may find.
